The beneficial impact of performing arts on society
Definition of performing arts-
I personally feel that performing arts benefits society as it improves things like people’s mental health as well as there physical health.
A quote to support that is -“Being able to be your true self is one of the strongest components of good mental health.”
Anecdotal evidence on something I have personally experienced-
When I was around 7 I played Matilda in the musical Matilda
.made me feel - emotional,overwhelmed,fulfilled
This is because it was one of my first shows in front of a really big audience, It had always been something I enjoyed but this was when I really realised what I wanted to do in the future.
After speaking to some of my peers I gathered up some anecdotal Evidence to support my beliefs-
They all explained how performing arts is a way to express them selfs and escape from the reality.
For my anecdotal evidence from an interview I interviewed my old performing arts teacher to see it from a teaching perspective. After interviewing an older person to see an opinion from a different generation I managed to find out that over the years performing arts has helped her to not only enjoy herself but learn new things about different cultures. After learning these new things she loved the idea of getting to teach the things she enjoyed the most to her students to also improve there self expression.
Quotes to support that-
“ musical theatre is the reason I am where I am today”
“Performing arts helps to encourage children’s confidence which has real life uses”.
In conclusion I feel that my anecdotal evidence supports my beliefs that performing arts is a way of self expression which is used to help improve both mental health and physical health.
